You can raise over a £1,000 from just one night.
This example is based on seventy people attending a race night, with an eight race, eight horse per race programme.
RACE SPONSORSHIP (@ £25.00 per race) ...... £200.00
Get a local business or club member to sponsor a race. They will have a race named after their business printed on the Race Card.
HORSE OWNERSHIP (@ £5.00 per horse) ...... £320.00
Sell each horse and get the "owner" to name it. The names would be printed in the Race Card with some form of prize (e.g. £20 or a bottle of wine) presented to the winning horse owner on the night.
ADVERTISING
Get a local business to advertise on the back of the Race Card. They must provide artwork/logo etc. (maximum size 7" high x 5" wide). Ask for cash donations or prizes for winning horse owners.
Based on each person spending £l.50 on each race with your Organisation keeping 30%.
AUCTION RACE (£30.00 bid per horse) ...... £72.00
Sell each horse to the highest bidder on one or more races. Give 70% of the total to the winning owner, 30% to your funds. A normal tote would also operate on an auction race.
TRICAST TICKET SALES (@ 20p per ticket) ...... £36.00
One presentation pack per race, containing 330 tickets with pre-printed numbered combinations. They can be sold in advance of your event. The correct combination holder wins at 100:1, five runners-up win at 10:1. For eight horse races only. Tricast can operate on more than one race.
Each book contains 28 pre-printed combinations for first and second place. There is one winning combination paying out at 20:1. For eight horse races only. Lucky Dip Dual Forecast can operate on more than one race.
ADMISSION TICKETS (@ £2.00) ...... £140.00
To ensure good attendance sell Admission Tickets in advance of your event. We can print them for you showing all the relevant details about your event.

All the above percentages and suggestions are variable and optional. In addition you can sell the Race Cards, hold a raffle, sell food, and of course you have a captive audience for the bar. We cannot guarantee you will make the amounts above, but with careful planning and a reasonable attendance you should cover your costs and make a good profit.
