After a short interval (while bets are placed), the Croupier will gently spin the wheel and feed the ball in the opposite direction in the recess of the rim. The players can still place late bets. When the ball is about to stop the croupier says "No more bets".

Any bets placed after this time are invalid. After the ball falls into the winning hole, the Croupier, to sound really professional, calls the winning number and arrangement - e.g. if the winning number is eighteen, they will call "eighteen, red, even, one to eighteen", and pay the winners accordingly.
