If you've never run a fundraising casino night before we recommend you follow this step by step guide to organising your event. Even if you've run casino nights before we hope you'll take the time to read through this guide - you'll find many helpful hints to use to make your fundraising even more successful. Check if you have someone in your Organisation with experience of playing roulette and blackjack they should be ideal for the role of 'Casino Manager' for your evening. Don't worry if you have no experienced people, the rules are simple. We will provide you with a copy when you receive you Game Pack. Your Casino Manger should spend time reading them - he will oversee the games, the cashier and the croupiers. You will also need a person to run the Bank as Head Cashier and Croupiers tables. We recommend one croupier for Blackjack or Roulette. |

Layout There are no fixed 'rules' about layouts for casino nights. Just remember 'the Cashier or Bank' table should be near the entrance, so that your members can buy (with real money) your fun casino money and chips. We supply blank chips in approximately ten different colours. The real money is kept by your Organisation for its funds. Handy Hints: A simple rule is to leave plenty of space between the gaming tables and the bar buffet, toilets and fire exits. This means space for people to watch the players, and to move about - just like the real casinos! The Cashier Put your cashier table near the entrance. The bank changes real money into the fun 'casino' money and casino chips that you must use to play the tables (Remember it is illegal to use real money on your tables). The Bank Members can buy more fun money and chips throughout the evening at the bank. It is important for the croupiers or their helpers to return the chips and money 'lost' at the tables back to the bank - you don't want the bank to run out of money! The bank is the ideal place from which to hand out instruction cards for the games (supplied in our pack). You can also collect admission tickets or entrance fees from here. The bank can sell raffle tickets, make people welcome and acts as a 'help' point for any members who are unsure how to play a game. The tables win 90% of the time! |
